Privacy Policy
Effective July 7, 2026
DontOversleep ("we", "the service") sends scheduled wake-up confirmation text messages on behalf of its users. This policy describes what we collect and how we use it, for both the web app at dontoversleep.com and the DontOversleep iOS app.
What we collect
- Your phone number โ used to create your account and sign you in via SMS code, and to send you confirmations and alerts about your wake-up checks.
- Your first name (optional) โ shown to recipients so they know who set up their wake-up text.
- Recipient name and phone number โ provided by you to deliver the wake-up texts you schedule. Only add people who have agreed to receive them.
- Wake-up schedule and check-in history โ the times, days, and confirmation status of each wake-up check, so the service can function and show you activity.
What we don't do
- We do not sell or share personal information with third parties for marketing.
- We do not use advertising or analytics trackers.
- We do not access your contacts, location, photos, or any other device data.
Service providers
Text messages are delivered through Twilio, our SMS provider. Phone numbers and message content are shared with Twilio solely to deliver messages. Our servers and database are hosted on Railway.
Opting out
Recipients can reply STOP to any message to stop all texts immediately. Account holders can delete wake-up checks or their account data at any time.
Data retention and deletion
Account and schedule data is kept while your account is active. To delete your account and all associated data, email [email protected] from the phone-verified account and we will remove it within 30 days.
Children
Accounts are created by adults (typically parents). Recipients of wake-up texts may be minors in the account holder's family; we store only the name and phone number the account holder provides for them.
